Activities are an important part of the education offered at Nayland College. Students are encouraged to become fully involved in sporting, cultural and recreational programmes. High standards of conduct are expected and emphasis is placed on working hard in a positive and supportive environment.

Term 1 and Term 4 have summer sports activities including: Touch Rugby; Volleyball; Cricket; Tennis Softball. Students Can Also Join Local Sports Clubs to do Athletics; Martial Arts; Cycling; Mountain Biking, Archery; Badminton; Squash; Bowls; Boxing; Canoeing; Climbing; Croquet; Golf; Swimming; Multi-sports; Orienteering; Rowing; Sailing…and many more
Terms 2 and 3 have similar sports, including: Netball; Basketball; Hockey; Rugby, Football (Soccer). Students can also join local clubs for Sports such as: Martial Arts, Skiing/Snowboarding, Cycling & Mountain biking; Bowls; Boxing; Climbing…and many more

Music is widely regarded in the College and student have numerous opportunities to participate in musical options including specialist groups such as: Concert Band; Jazz Band; Musical Productions; String Ensemble; Orchestra; Choir’s, Rock Quest and much more.
Students are also able to obtain tuition in various instruments including: Flute, Trombone, Guitar, Percussion, Clarinet, Classical piano, Oboe, Violin, Keyboard, (traditional/modern), Viola, Piano, Trumpet, Double Bass, French Horn, Drum Kit
Drama and Dance: Nayland has an outstanding Drama department and every year there are many school productions, including one major production, involving hundreds of our students. This is a must at Nayland College! There are also opportunities to participate in our Dance Company, Stage Challenge, Shakespearian productions and Theatre Sports.
